Detective Investigation Files (刑事偵緝檔案)

A police procedural built from case files, each one grounded in the grind of real detective work. The team is the star, not any single hero. I liked the dry humour in the squad room.

The plots avoid flashy twists and favour careful reasoning. When it gets emotional, it does so quietly. I found myself watching the faces rather than the clues.

A series of this kind works well in small portions. I took it a case or two at a time, over a month. It remains one of the best-loved police series.
