Looking Back in Anger (義不容情)

A family melodrama about debt, revenge and the cost of holding a grudge. It is intense, and sometimes painful. I admired its willingness to let people stay angry.

The writing is bold and the performances hold nothing back. It leans heavily on tears, yet the emotional logic holds together. A few scenes are long, but they are earned.

At forty episodes, it demands patience. I recommend it to those who like their dramas heavy. Keep a box of tissues nearby.
