Triumph in the Skies (衝上雲霄)

A drama about airline pilots, with the usual mix of romance and rivalry set in the cockpit and the crew lounge. Francis Ng (吳鎮宇) and Julian Cheung (張智霖) make a lively pair. It felt glamorous in a way I enjoyed without believing it.

The aviation details are a little glossy, but the friendships ring true. I liked the quieter episodes about fear and responsibility more than the grand romance. It is easy to dip in and out of.

Thirty-two episodes make for a pleasant month of evenings. It spawned a sequel, though I prefer the original. A good one for travel-minded nights.
