War of the Genders (男親女愛)

A comedy about parents and children trying to understand each other across a generation gap. It is warm and a bit chaotic. I found it charming rather than clever.

The jokes land best when the family argues at the table. A few episodes lean on stock situations, but the cast keeps them fresh. I smiled more than I expected.

Twenty episodes is a comfortable weekend. It makes a gentle double bill with other comedies on my list. Good for when you want to feel cheerful.
