Line Walker (使徒行者)

Undercover officers live double lives, and trust is the first thing to go. The story keeps asking who is really on whose side. It is more tense than most of the shows I log here.

The action is slicker than in the older series, and the cast carries the emotional weight. A couple of plot threads feel rushed, yet the central friendships are convincing. I held my breath at least twice.

Thirty episodes of paranoia is plenty. It makes a nice contrast with the gentler classics. Best taken in two or three sittings.
